Quality
The Institute for Healthcare improvement has a wealth of information on how to improve patient safety and quality care.
Virginia Mason is a local healthcare system in Seattle. This group transformed itself into a profitable, extremely high-quality system by modeling after Toyota. Virginia Mason's management ideas are extremely interesting and have research behind them. Because of the interest in learning more, the group started the Virginia Mason Institute, which teaches courses on lean management, safety culture, and patient safety.
